A recent Harvard University study indicates that people who are optimistic may be healthier since they tend to have higher levels of HDL (good cholesterol) and lower triglycerides than those individuals who are not as hopeful about their future. It seems that being more hopeful motivates us to make healthier choices for ourselves, which may pay off in dividends in the future. Hey … maybe that “little ole ant” knew something after all!
