Gel Nail Polish is very popular right now and many women have opted for the gels over regular nail polish in hopes the color will last longer. But unlike regular polish, most women think they will have to make an extra trip to the salon to get the gels removed. However, they can be easily removed at home by following these 4 simple steps:
- Using a buffer, buff each nail until the shade looks very dull. This opens up the gel substance to absorbing acetone much quicker and easier.
- Thoroughly soak a cotton ball with acetone nail polish remover, and place one cotton ball on each fingernail.
- Using a small piece of aluminum foil, secure each cotton ball around your fingernail for about 15 minutes.
- Remove the foil and cotton ball and gently scrape off all the gel polish with an orange stick. Wash hands thoroughly.
