Trying to eat more fruit is a very good thing. Making delicious fruit smoothies is also a fun and nutritious way to get your daily requirement, but sometimes you may not think you have time to whip up a frosty delight. One suggestion is to use quart-sized plastic bags to freeze a combination of your favorite smoothie flavors, like strawberries, blueberries, pineapple chunks, etc., in the amount it takes to make one smoothie, and add half a banana to each bag. Keep these “individual serving” bags in the freezer, and when you are in a hurry simply grab one of the frozen bags, toss it into your blender, add a little milk, yogurt, and/or fruit juice, and voila! A delicious nutritious smoothie is ready for you to enjoy in no time!
