Have you ever heard of earthing? Earthing is the practice of putting any part of the body directly in contact with the ground, like going barefoot. Recent provocative research indicates that since earthing helps your body to absorb the earth’s negatively charged electrons, this practice may also decrease any pain you may be experiencing and improve your overall heart health. Apparently, just practicing 20 minutes per day of earthing may ease pain and inflammation, while 40 minutes may actually reduce blood viscosity. So, don’t be so stuffy when you’re outside! Go barefoot in your yard or garden and make sure you wiggle your toes in the sand next time you’re at the beach!
