According to a Michigan State University research study, working out with someone you consider to be in better shape than you can motivate you to work out 208% longer! So … meet up with a few friends and get motivated!
Would you say you are a fast or a slow eater? The answer to this question may have a lot to do with your weight. A recent study indicates that people who are fast eaters weight an average of 18 pounds more than slower eaters. In addition to the weight, fast eaters are much more likely to suffer from type 2 diabetes than slow eaters, two and half times more likely to be exact. So, if you’re trying to lose weight and be healthier, SLOW DOWN!
Who says loosing weight is no fun? It can be if you have a trampoline. Jumping on a trampoline gives you a great cardio workout, and can be a lot of fun, too. Jumping on a trampoline requires you to engage your entire body, including your abs, in order to keep your balance. And it’s not about jumping high either … so no need to be scared. You get a great workout by doing simple moves like jumping jacks, ballet squats, or just running in place. Doing these exercises on a trampoline makes them low-impact, like swimming, since the springy surface takes pressure off your joints. And regular trampoline jumping elongates your muscles which makes a leaner you. If you don’t have room for a big trampoline, you can get the same effect by getting a cheaper mini trampoline for inside the house. If you have kids, they will love seeing you have fun on the trampoline, just like they do!
